Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026.
The Accountability Claims Initiative (the “Initiative,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of every visitor, portal member, and whitepaper purchaser. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information. Name and email address when you create a portal account.
- Payment information. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor, not by us. We retain only the transaction reference and the email associated with the purchase.
- Mailing-list information. If you join the updates list, we send your name, email, state, and any selected issue type to ConvertKit (Kit) for delivery.
- Contact submissions. Information you provide through the contact form is sent by email to our team and is not stored in a database in v1.
- Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Vercel Analytics) that do not set cross-site tracking cookies.
How We Use Information
- To provide portal access, deliver the whitepaper, and send transactional emails.
- To send claim-related educational updates if you have opted in.
- To improve the site and respond to support requests.
- To comply with applicable law and protect the integrity of the service.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share claimant information except with the service providers necessary to operate the site (Stripe, ConvertKit, Resend, Supabase, Vercel), each of which is bound by its own privacy obligations.
- We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Security
We use HTTPS site-wide and store member data with a reputable cloud database provider (Supabase). When document upload becomes available, uploaded files will be stored in encrypted private storage. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we work to follow current good practice.
Your Choices
- You may unsubscribe from email updates at any time using the link in any email.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- You may cancel a portal subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account page.
